Bumbu Desa is a chain of Sundanese food restaurants, popular in Jakarta and in other Indonesian cities. Compared to other similar buffet restaurant, I was impressed by the standards of Bumbu Desa. The number of dishes is huge, with around 50 to choose from, and they all looked very fresh. Many people come to try the famous Gurame Pesmol, the Gurame is grilled with with 14 choices of flavor, you should also try the Ayam Bumbu Desa, Karedok, and of course it’s spicy sauces.

Bumbu Desa is worth trying since it will familiarize you with Indonesian cuisine without taking too many risks. The design is traditional, but modern and comfortable, and the service very attentive.

Fancy ambience of this restaurant is very pronounced, but still combined with the traditional Sundanese apparent from the number of images depicting the rural atmosphere and traditional music of West Java that will accompany while you dine.
