Rammang - Rammang 
Salenrang Village, Bontoa District, Maros Regency. 

The name of "Rammang-Rammang" comes from the language of Makassar, where rammang means "cloud" or "mist". So, rammang-rammang means a set of cloud or fog. Rammang-Rammang is a place in the karst mountain range (limestone) in Maros-Pangkep. this is the third largest karst areas in the world. 
The location of Rammang-rammang is in Salenrang Village, Bontoa District, Maros Regency. From Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar International Airport, it can be reached by driving approximately 1 hour.


This area has even been recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site.
Apart from the amazing views of the karst mountains, there are various tourist attractions and other exciting activities that can be found in the Rammang-Rammang tourist village. These include going along the white river by boat, enjoying the atmosphere of Berua village, exploring caves, exploring stone forests, and staying at the Rammang-rammang Eco Lodge and enjoying the beautiful sunrise in the morning.


How to get there:
From the center of Makassar city, the distance is approximately 45 kilometers or around 1.5 hours' drive. The route takes the route north towards Maros City. At the intersection of Jl. General Sudirman Maros, take the road to Pangkep City.
Next, after arriving at the Semen Bosowa T-junction, turn right onto Jalan Tangaparang. Next, follow the directions to continue to Rammang-rammang Karst Village.
