TOKYO STATION AND MINATO-KU DISTRICT

After landing at Narita International Airport, I rushed to buy a Narita Express ticket with the final destination being Tokyo Station. Actually there is another option that is cheaper than using Narita express. However, because I used the JR Pass, I didn't need to buy the ticket again. just insert the card into the entrance machine and don't forget to take it back.
The journey from Narita Airport to Tokyo Station is around 45 minutes.

Designed by renowned Japanese architect Kingo Tatsuno, Tokyo Station opened in 1914 with four platforms. Inspired by his studies in England and his travels throughout Europe, Tatsuno brought much of this experience into his work, with the red-brick Marunouchi Building of Tokyo Station remaining one of the city's most impressive architectural landmarks.

There are two main entrance/exit areas to Tokyo Station. On the east side of the building is the Yaesu Exit, with the ground floor offering the Yaesu North Exit, Yaesu Central Exit, and Yaesu South Exit. In addition, the basement floor also has the Yaesu Underground Center Exit which leads to the shopping center.

On the west side of Tokyo Station is the Marunouchi Exit. The ground floor includes Marunouchi North Exit, Marunouchi Central Exit, and Marunouchi South Exit. The underground floor offers three other exits: Marunouchi Underground North Exit, Marunouchi Underground Middle Exit, and Marunouchi Underground South Exit.

If you want to take the bullet train, known as the Shinkansen, it's best to enter Tokyo Station from the Yaesu side. You can also find the JR Expressway Bus Terminal near the Yaesu South Exit, while bus services to Narita Airport depart from the Nihonbashi Exit via the Yaesu Exit. If you get lost, just ask for directions at the ticket gate or information counter.
Because Tokyo Station is the central station that connects Tokyo with many areas in Japan, this station is often considered the busiest station in Japan. Unlike other stations in Tokyo which are only served by well-known Japan Railway (JR) lines such as Yamanote or Chuo, this station has many other lines, including the Shinkansen train line which connects Tokyo with other big cities such as Kyoto or Osaka.

During a business trip, it required me to go to a training building in the Minato-ku district.
Many companies placing their headquarters in Minato City has resulted in it becoming a center for a variety of business activities. Many foreign corporations and embassies can be found spread throughout this area as well. Due to a comparatively high population of foreign residents, Minato City can be considered one of the most international areas of Japan.

Minato City has the highest concentration of facilities and services for foreigners in all of Tokyo. There are many establishments that foreign residents will find a welcome convenience such as international schools, English-speaking hospitals, and international supermarkets. Luxurious housing in Minato City mostly consists of condominiums and single-family houses designed with European and American style layouts intended for foreign executives and diplomats. High-class condominiums usually provide front desk services in English.
