Hi!
Today I wanna shared about my holiday to Palembang a place where my grandma lived :)

I took a night flight to go there (because I must off to work before I go).
Actually, I don't like to take a night flight :(

Welcome to Palembang!
Palembang is the capital city of the South Sumatra province in Indonesia.
Located on the Musi River banks on the east coast of southern Sumatra island.
Palembang is the second-largest city in Sumatra after Medan and the seventh-largest city in Indonesia after Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, Medan, Semarang, and Makassar.
Palembang landmarks include the Ampera bridge and the Musi River, the latter of which divides the city into two, Seberang Ilir to the north and Seberang Ulu to the south. The Seberang Ilir is Palembang's economic and cultural centre and the Seberang Ulu is its political centre.

My first destination is Musi River.
Musi River, about 750 km along the river which divides the city into two parts, namely Palembang Seberang Ulu and Ilir opposite is the longest river in Sumatra. Since the first of the Musi River has become the economic lifeblood and the city of Palembang in South Sumatra Province. Along the banks of the river there are many attractions like the Ampera Bridge, Fort Religious Tourism, Museum of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II, Kemaro Island, 16 Ilir Market, home Raft, Pertamina's oil refineries, fertilizer plants PUSRI, beach Good Yellow, Musi II Bridge, Al Munawar Mosque, etc.

Second is Ampera Bridge.
Ampera Bridge, a bridge which crossed over 1177 meters above the Musi River that connects the area and Seberang Ulu Seberang Ilir Palembang is a city icon. The bridge was built in 1962 and was built using the spoils of Japan and Japanese experts.

Next is Great Mosque of Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang.
Located in downtown, this mosque is the largest mosque in South Sumatra with a capacity of 15,000 pilgrims.

Fourth is Pulau Kemaro.
Pulau Kemaro  is a magical island on the middle of Musi River, Palembang.
Kemaro means Dry, because Kemaro island never get flood even Musi river rainy or side river got flooded

And last is my Grandma's house at Lahat.
My grandma's house is surrounding by the forest and river.
I can play it around and I love it.
Bird chirping, water & wind sound, oh it's so beautiful!

Oh don't forget to try traditional food from Palembang.
Pempek, mpek-mpek or empek-empek is a savoury fishcake delicacy from Palembang, made of fish and tapioca. Pempek is served with yellow noodles and a dark, rich sweet and sour sauce called kuah cuka or kuah cuko (vinegar sauce).

Next  is Tekwan.
Tekwan is a fish soup typical of Palembang, Indonesia. The fish cakes are made from the dough of fish and tapioca similar to pempek. The fish cake is cut in small sizes and presented in shrimp broth with a distinctive flavor, served with rice vermicelli, mushrooms, sliced jicama, and sprinkled with sliced fresh celery, scallion and fried shallot.

Then, Martabak HAR
Martabak is a stuffed pancake or pan-fried bread which becomes a popular street food in Indonesia and other countries in South East Asia. What is unique from Martabak HAR in Palembang is that the martabak is served with curry-like broth made of potatoes, water and spices, resulting in a savory and tasty dish.
