Living in a town with as many dining options as Bandung makes it impossible for me to keep up with what’s hip and happening. You know, Bandung’s culinary business is constantly growing as new restaurants come and go. Some make a huge success, some are not lucky enough.
A family park in the mountain feet. That’s how I describe Dusun Bambu. Dusun Bambu Family Leisure Park in Cisarua, West Bandung, has become the talk of the town and has already attracted plenty of visitors prior to its soft opening in January.

The trip there will be a bit challenging as the road is on a hilly terrain. However the effort will ultimately pay off when arrive at the location.

With an admission fee of Rp. 15,000 per person, visitors are free to enter and explore the area. Upon arrival at the site, the visitors will be transported by decorated mini-caravan to get to the main area of the Dusun Bambu Leisure Park.

Visitors can pick a place to rest while enjoying lunch at the Pasar Katulistiwa food court.  Here, a variety of local foods, such as Batagor Bandung, Baso Tahu and Soto Bandung, as well as other traditional ones from other parts of Indonesia, such as Mpek-mpek, Otak-otak Palembang and Satay Madura. Visitors can even enjoy old-timer snacks, such as the red cotton candy (gulali). Those wishing to indulge in the international cuisine can otherwise choose to be seated at the Café Burangrang. There is uniqueness about the Dusun Bambu architecture, namely the form of the building which resembles a bird's nest. Although yet to be fully operational, visitors can enjoy their lunch or dinner here.

A little tip when visiting the Dusun Bambu Leisure Park: come at the weekend as not all facilities are available on workdays. The most appropriate time for a visit is after the lunch hours passed, as there will be fewer amounts of visitors, so that you can have more freedom in enjoying the wide variety of foods and family games in the area, also when the weather is not too hot.
