Indonesia National Gallery
Galeri Nasional Indonesia or Indonesia National Gallery is located at Jl. Medan Merdeka Timur No 14, Jakarta Pusat/Central Jakarta, just in front of Gambir Station.
Indonesia National Gallery, which started operating since May 8, 1999
is intended as a museum of art and the center of fine arts whose role
is to enhance the appreciation of the people of Indonesia to the art
works through the agenda of protection, development and utilization of
the art works in Indonesia .
The existence of the Indonesia National
Gallery is to provides the opportunity for the general public, students
and art lovers to take advantage of educational facilities, cultural and
recreation. Indonesia National Gallery is important since its presence
as one of the art museums in Indonesia, which has a collection of about
1750 of art works.
Indonesia National Gallery has a temporary exhibition space consists of 4
buildings, a permanent exhibition, a seminar room with a capacity of up
to 150 people, the auditorium with a capacity of 100 people, a library,
laboratories, Cafe and Shop, curatorial, collections save room, and
others.
