Orchard Road, Singapore
Orchard Road is a one-way street. It starts at the junction with Orange
Grove Road which is the location of the Orchard Hotel. It then stretches
southeast across the Scotts Road/Paterson Hill junction, Orchard MRT
Station, Bideford Road, Somerset MRT Station, Central Expressway, Dhoby
Ghaut MRT Station, and ends at the junction with Handy Road (just before
Prinsep Street), where it becomes Bras Basah Road.
Orchard Road, Asia’s most famous shopping street, is home to fashion favourites, specialist stores and loads of other lifestyle choices. Orchard Road is flanked by iconic shopping malls, restaurants and hotels, choc-a-bloc with retail, dining and entertainment choice for every taste and budget. Designer threads, fast fashion, upscale restaurants, ethnic wares, art galleries and relaxed hangouts – you name it, Orchard Road has it.
But I'm not shopping here..hahaha, since I'm not a shopper typical.
I just bought some authentic food, that you must try. Here they are:
1. Old Changkee
Old Chang Kee is an established snack, food and beverage chain in
Singapore specialising in curry puffs and other local snacks. The
preparation to go halal began in 2004. On completion of all their
documentation process, the Halal certification application was submitted
at the end of October 2004. Old Chang Kee product, outlets and 2
central kitchens were officially certified Halal by MUIS on 7 January
2005.
2. Garret Popcorn
