Penang, also called Penang Island, lying in the Strait of Malacca off the northwest coast of peninsular Malaya. Penang was famous with their medical treatment. Many Indonesian come there to get health examination.
1. Penang Hill (Bukit Bendera)

Penang Hill offers amazing views of the city from the top as well as a chilly climate that's about five degrees cooler than at the lowlands. Due to its breathtaking views, and cool, unpolluted air, it's a popular weekend hangout spot for locals and tourists alike!
The most popular way to get up Penang Hill is to take the mountain railway which starts in Air Itam. The mountain railway is a lot of fun and allows great views over Penang as you ascend. However, be aware that the mountain railway can be very busy even on weekdays.
How to get there
The Penang Hill Lower Station is located at the end of Hill Railway Road. It is a short walking distance from the Penang Hill Multi-Storey Car Park. Also within walking distance is the Penang Hill Bus Stop, served by Rapid Penang Bus 204.
2. Kapitan Keling Mosque

Kapitan Keling Mosque was the first mosque built in Penang. It is also the largest historic mosque standing on the ground of Penang. This mosque is named after the head of Indian Muslim community in the late 1700's. This mosque is used by the Muslims five times per day, seven days a week.
How to get there
Take the bus numbered 401 and you will reach Georgetown in no time. A trishaw ride to the mosque from Georgetown will be interesting with a negotiable price of RM1.50 per kilometer.
3. Jubilee Clock tower
The Jubilee Clock Tower, also known as the Queen Victoria Memorial Clock Tower, is the most famous clock tower on Penang Island. Located at the western end of King Edward's Place within the heart of George Town's UNESCO World Heritage Site.
4. Sri Mahamariamman Temple
It is also known as Mariamman Temple or Queen Street Indian Temple. Throughout the years, the Sri Mahamariamman temple has also been known by several names: Sri Muthu Mariamman Temple, Sri Arulmigu Mahamariamman Temple, Sri Mariamman Temple. All these names refer to the same temple. The temple is open daily from 6.30 am - 12.00 noon and 4.30 pm - 9.00 pm.
5. Penang Times Square
Penang Times Square is an ongoing urban redevelopment project in George Town, Penang, Malaysia. It is located at Dato Keramat Road in the city centre, and comprises office blocks, condominiums, a shopping mall and an outdoor plaza.
