Actually, this trip is planned with my friend. But unfortunately she can't join it.

But suddenly my mom said want to join me, because she never had been to Vietnam before.

So, let's the trip start!

This also first time I flight with Vietjet air. They have route directly to Hanoi. The flight duration from Jakarta, Indonesia (CGK) to Hanoi, Vietnam (HAN) is typically around 4 to 5 hours when flying non-stop. Noi Bai International Airport is the main international gateway to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. It is located about 30 kilometers north of Hanoi's city center.

Upon arrival in Noi Bai airport, we didn't directly went to Hanoi city center, because we wanna go to Sapa first. We ride a Sao Viet bus to there. The Sao Viet Bus is a popular travel option for those looking to get from Hanoi to Sapa, a scenic mountain town in northern Vietnam.

Most of the buses operate as sleeper buses, providing reclining seats, air conditioning, and blankets, which make the journey more comfortable. The buses have a bathroom on board, though it's generally recommended to use the restroom before departure or during scheduled stops.. The journey usually takes about 5 to 6 hours, depending on road conditions. The road from Hanoi to Sapa can be winding and hilly, but the scenery is often breathtaking. If you're traveling overnight, the bus will typically depart in the evening and arrive in Sapa early in the morning. 

The ticket price for the Sao Viet bus from Hanoi to Sapa usually ranges from 250,000 to 350,000 VND (roughly $10 to $15 USD), depending on the type of bus and the season. Prices can vary, so it’s always best to check for current rates when booking. You can book tickets in advance online or through travel agents. It’s also possible to purchase tickets directly at bus stations in Hanoi. Booking in advance is recommended, especially during peak travel seasons.

The buses typically drop passengers off at a central location in Sapa town. If you’re staying in a hotel in Sapa, they may offer a shuttle or transport from the bus drop-off point to your accommodation, so it's a good idea to confirm this with your hotel in advance.
