The Corrs Concert in Jakarta: A Night Filled With Love

by - 4:00 AM

I didn’t expect a concert to make me feel this emotional, but the moment The Corrs stepped onto the stage in Jakarta, I knew this night was going to be special.
The “Jakarta With Love” concert wasn’t just about music. It felt like reconnecting with a part of my life I hadn’t visited in a long time. Songs I used to listen to casually suddenly carried deeper meaning, and every melody felt familiar, comforting, and warm.

From the moment the lights dimmed and the first notes filled the venue, the energy was undeniable. Andrea, Sharon, Caroline, and Jim Corr appeared with genuine smiles, clearly touched by the warm welcome from Jakarta. Andrea’s voice sounded just as clear and emotional as ever, effortlessly pulling the audience into every lyric. Between songs, the band shared heartfelt words, repeatedly expressing how special Jakarta is to them. The phrase “with love” wasn’t just a concert title, it was something you could truly feel throughout the night.

When Runaway began, I felt a lump in my throat. I wasn’t the only one singing along—everyone around me knew the lyrics by heart. It was one of those rare moments where thousands of people feel completely connected, united by one song.
The Corrs delivered a beautifully balanced setlist, mixing their iconic hits with softer, emotional moments. Songs like Breathless had the entire crowd singing along, while Runaway felt almost magical, with thousands of voices blending into one.
One of the highlights was how the band stayed true to their signature sound, combining pop-rock with Celtic influences. The violin melodies, acoustic arrangements, and live band performance created a rich and authentic concert experience that felt both powerful and comforting.

What made this concert stand out wasn’t just the music, but the connection. Andrea often reached out to the audience, encouraging everyone to sing together, smile, and enjoy the moment. At times, the venue felt less like a concert hall and more like a shared living room filled with old friends.
Many fans were visibly emotional, some closing their eyes, others recording memories on their phones, and some simply holding hands with the people they came with. It was a reminder that music can carry us through different phases of life.

As the concert came to an end, I didn’t want to leave. The applause felt endless, and so did the emotions. Walking out of the venue, I realized I wasn’t just taking home videos and photos, I was taking home a memory I’d want to revisit over and over again.
The Corrs “Jakarta With Love” concert reminded me that some music grows with you. It waits patiently, and when you hear it live, it feels like coming home.
And that night in Jakarta, it truly was with love.
