Welcome to Padang !

Welcome to Padang!
This time we will enjoy Padang with my husband's big family!

Padang is the capital and largest city of the Indonesian province of West Sumatra. It is the 16th most populous city in Indonesia and the most populous city on the west coast of Sumatra.
More than 60% of the area of Padang is in the form of hills covered by protection forests.

First stop to the journey is Pantai Padang.

Pantai Padang
Jl. Samudera, Purus, Kec. Padang Bar., Kota Padang, Sumatera Barat 25115

Padang beach (known as Taplau or Tapi Lauik) which located from Samudra Street until Puruih, is known for its sunsets and food stalls.
Another name is Taplau Beach! Due to the easy access and popularity, the beach is able to lure lots of people, especially during long holidays and weekends. The beach resides near Padang Grand Market, which is about 1 km away. Not to mention there is no entrance fee. Visitors only need to pay for the parking fee, especially those who come with a private vehicle.

How to Get There
It is easy to reach Padang Beach, but everyone should reach Padang City first. From the airport, they can head directly to the beach by taking Raya Solok – Padang Street. The distance is 60.2 km, so this trip would take around 1 hour and 50 minutes.
