ASAKUSA HALAL SUSHI KEN

Asakusa Halal Sushi Ken
Address 2-11-4 Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo 111-0032

The number of halal restaurants in Japan is increasing as the number of Muslim tourists vacationing in Japan increases. Starting from ramen, tempura, to sushi, there are quite a variety of halal restaurants in Japan. But, why sushi? Even though sushi toppings are generally made from sea fish, sushi is generally not halal because it contains mirin which contains alcohol.

Located right next to exit no.1 of Asakusa Station on the Tsukuba Express line, this sushi restaurant is the first sushi restaurant in Japan with a halal certificate. Serving high quality halal sushi, this sushi shop is quite popular among Muslim tourists who like to eat sushi. Having a strategic location, today we tried the Asakusa Sushi Ken lunch package which is famous for its delicious taste and affordable price.

One of the highlights of Asakusa Sushi Ken is, of course, sushi. The restaurant offers a range of halal sushi options made with ingredients that are acceptable for Muslims to eat. These include tofu, tamagoyaki, and various vegetables. The sushi is expertly prepared by the restaurant's skilled sushi chefs, who have years of experience in crafting the perfect bite. In addition to its delicious halal sushi options, Asakusa Sushi Ken also offers a range of non-sushi dishes such as Halal beef and tempura. These dishes are prepared in a separate kitchen using separate utensils to ensure that they are fully halal.

After waiting approximately 15 minutes, the restaurant waiter served the order. The nigiri lunch set package that I ordered was filled with 10 types of nigiri sushi, 1 bowl of miso soup.
The sushi served at this restaurant has a dense fist of rice and is given toppings that are quite large in size and sliced quite thickly. A certain amount of wasabi is also placed under the topping slices, so you have to say "Sabi Nuki (さび抜き) or No Wasabi" when ordering sushi if you don't like wasabi, or want it served separately. The taste of this restaurant's sushi is very fresh, and perhaps because the sushi rice doesn't contain mirin, it tastes as tasty as broth. Slightly different from the taste of sushi sold in Indonesia, you can enjoy fresh and quality halal sushi at affordable prices just by visiting Asakusa Sushi Ken during lunch hours!
In conclusion, Asakusa Sushi Ken is a fantastic choice for Muslims looking to enjoy delicious halal sushi in Tokyo. With its convenient location, welcoming atmosphere, and high-quality ingredients, it is a must-visit destination for anyone visiting the city. Whether you are a sushi lover or simply looking for a delicious and authentic Japanese meal, Asakusa Sushi Ken has something for everyone.

Before returning to the hotel, I was curious to see Sensoji Temple at night. Besides, when I go back to the hotel I will definitely pass this temple.

I tried the fortune teller by inserting a 100 yen coin and starting to shuffle the lucky numbers. Suprisingly I got a good luck!

How to get there:
Walk from exit no.1 of Asakusa Station on Tsukuba Express, 7 minute walk from Tawaramachi Station on the Ginza line (Tokyo Metro )
