LAKE KAWAGUCHIKO: OISHI PARK

Oishi Park, Lake Kawaguchiko
Oishi, Fujikawaguchiko, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi 401-0305, Jepang

I was very happy when I was invited to see Mount Fuji. We went there quite early with my colleagues. because the journey takes 2 hours. But it doesn't feel like bored, because of the good views.
After traveling for 2 hours, we stopped at Fujiyama Gateway Station.

Fujiyama Gateway is the starting point to various tourist destinations to see Mount Fuji. Next to this station is Lawson which is famous for its views of Mount Fuji. Because I was a little hungry, I took the time to buy some snacks at Lawson, and didn't forget to take a photo in front of it.

Then we continued our journey to Oishi Park. Well, one of the lakes near the mountain (Lake Kawaguchi) there is a very beautiful park. Its name is Oishi Park.
Oishi Park or in Japanese "Oishi Koen" is a park that has the best views and often appears on several sites when you find out about tourist attractions in Japan. Oishi Park itself is located around Mount Fuji which has beautiful views surrounded by several beautiful villages and small towns.

For tourists who come from outside Japan, of course they agree that Oishi Park Yamanashi is the most beautiful tourist paradise in Japan. OFrom Oishi Park itself we can see the beautiful views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi at the same time.

One of the things that impresses the majority of tourists about Oishi Park is the carpet of kochia which bloom. Lake Kawaguchiko is one of five lakes on Mount Fuji which is known to be very beautiful with the longest coastline down to the tip of Mount Fuji. On the edge of the lake there are various colorful flowers that are different for each season. We can see the beauty of Lavender flowers in summer, Sakura flowers in spring, or Red leaves (Momiji leaves) in autumn.

From Oishi Park, we can see Mount Fuji from various angles. Anyway, if you go to Japan, don't miss stopping by here!

How to get there:
Take the red line from Kawaguchiko station. The last few stops (stop No 20, 21, 22) cover the Oishi park on the bus. The small pathway along the lake from Kawaguchiko Natural Living Center to approximately around the bus stop 20 is a great place for pics and most of the time it is less crowded.
