The Camii Mosque in Tokyo is one of the oldest mosques built in the 1930s by Muslim immigrants who came to Japan. At the time when Japan received large numbers of Muslim immigrants and the first mosques were being built.


Initially the Camii mosque was built together with the school on May 12 1938. And the founders of the Camii Tokyo Japanese mosque were immigrants called Bashkir Tatars from Russia who came to Japan after the October Revolution. Construction of the mosque with the direction of Abdurreshid Ibrahim, the first Imam of the mosque, and Abdulhay Kurban Ali.
It is so big that the Camii Mosque can accommodate around 1,200 worshipers to worship in the mosque. Especially on major Islamic religious holidays such as Eid al-Fitr, Eid al-Adha, and Friday prayers. The Camii Mosque is not only for worship, but also functions as a venue for weddings, fashion shows, performances, exhibitions and conferences. Camii Mosque also has active mosque youth members. Yuai International School holds spirit classes in reading the Koran, getting to know Islam, karate and calligraphy. The school is run by the Islamic Center of Japan (IJC), a Muslim institution that was founded in 1966.



Not only does it has a magnificent area with a cape ornament measuring 25 meters in diameter. This mosque is also called the most beautiful mosque in Asia
