Marina Bay, Merlion, Esplanade, Singapore Flyer, Gardens By the Bay

Singapore, Yeah Singapore
I didn't remember, how much time I have visited there.
Since it was near to our country, Singapore is one of favorite destination for Indonesian.

This holiday, I didn't have much time to explore Singapore (I have visited some in the past)
But, I will tell you some :)

My one day visit goes to Marina Bay.
Marina Bay is a bay near Central Area in the southern part of Singapore, and lies to the east of the Downtown Core. The area surrounding the bay itself, also called Marina Bay, is a 360 hectare extension to the adjacent Central Business District.

The Merlion is a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish, used as a mascot and national personification of Singapore. Its name combines "mer" meaning the sea and "lion". The fish body represents Singapore's origin as a fishing village when it was called Temasek, which means "sea town" in Javanese. The lion head represents Singapore's original name — Singapura — meaning "lion city" or "kota singa".

Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay is a waterside building located on six hectares of waterfront land alongside Marina Bay near the mouth of the Singapore River, purpose-built to be the centre for performing arts for the island nation of Singapore. Taking its name from the nearby Esplanade, it contains a Concert Hall which seats about 1,600 and a Theatre with a capacity of about 2,000 for the performing arts.

Singapore Flyer. The Flyer is located near the shore of Singapore's Marina Bay, on the southeast tip of the Marina Centre reclaimed land, in an area known as Marina Promenade. The Singapore Flyer is a giant Ferris wheel in Singapore. Described by its operators as an observation wheel, it opened in 2008, construction having taken about 2½ years.

Gardens by the Bay is a park spanning 101 hectares of reclaimed land in central Singapore, adjacent to the Marina Reservoir. The park consists of three waterfront gardens: Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden and Bay Central Garden. The largest of the three gardens is Bay South Garden, standing at 54 hectares.

Let see where will I go then.
Ciao!
