JUNGFRAUJOCH, TOP OF EUROPE

Switzerland is famous for a number of beautiful mountains that can refresh the eyes. If you want to visit one of them, you can include Jungfraujoch in your itinerary.
To get to Jungfraujoch, tourists can use gondolas and trains to reach the top. So, there's no need to bother climbing the mountain for hours to get to the peak.

You can continue using the Eiger Express gondola from Grindelwald Terminal to Eigergletscher Station in just 15 minutes.

Upon arrival at the station, you will be taken to the top of Jungfraujoch using a train that can traverse uphill routes. If you don't want to bother changing vehicles, based on the information on the official gondola website, you can directly use the Eiger Express to get to the top in 45 minutes.

Well, the experience of taking the train to Jungfraujoch is very different. Because, you will be riding the train in an uphill position all the time. Sometimes we can penetrate the clouds to get to the Eismeer train station. After arriving at the station, you have to take the train to get to the top. Ticket prices to Jungfraujoch can vary depending on the season and the type of ticket you choose.

After the gondola, continue your journey using the train. Interestingly, this train is electric. Can't see anything around the train. Because, we are walking under a tunnel made in the belly of the mountain!

Arriving at the top, you will be presented with a view of eternal snow that never melts. Even though it is summer, the snow remains solid. A 22 kilometer long eternal glacier stretches across Jungfraujoch and you can enjoy it from the top of the mountain. Looks so amazing! Juangfraujcoh is a charming place of eternal snow in the Alps, Switzerland. The cool, all-white atmosphere will be an unforgettable experience.

The peak of Jungfraujoch is covered with snow which allows tourists to carry out various interesting activities such as playing snowballs. Apart from playing in the snow, according to the Jungfrau.ch site, tourists can also play ski races at the Lauberhorn which is between Wengen and Grindelwald. There is also an 800 meter long First Flyer chairlift that will take tourists from First to Schreckfeld while enjoying the natural beauty of the surroundings

Jungfraujoch means 'saddle girl' in German. This is a glacier that connects Jungfrau Peak and the Monch mountains in the Bernese Alps, Switzerland. Jungfraujoch has a height of 3,463 meters above sea level. That's why this is a destination called the 'Top of Europe' or the highest peak in Europe that can be reached.
Here is the highest railway station in Europe served by the Jungfrau railway, which stretches 9 kilometers from Kleine Scheidegg station (at an altitude of 2,061 m above the sea). Jungfraujoch is also the first UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in the Alps. From here we can see around 200 peaks in the Alps. From there, the snow-capped peaks of Jungfrau and Mönch appear quite close and almost touchable.

There are several restaurants and bars, shops, multimedia exhibitions, a post office and a research station with special facilities. The lift allows access to the top of the Sphinx and its observatory, at 3,571 m, the highest observation platform in the area. Outside, on the heights of Jungfraujoch, there is a ski school, and the "Ice Palace", a collection of intricate ice sculptures displayed within the Aletsch Glacier. Another tunnel leads to the east side of the Sphinx, where one can walk on the glacier up to the Mönchsjoch Hut, the only hotel infrastructure in the area.
There is a restaurant in Jungfraujoch. The view is eternal snow. Wow, it's really delicious to eat here accompanied by a unique view. BTW, the food here is friendly for Muslims because it is halal.
