MAGNIFICENT GRINDELWALD

by - 8:00 PM

This morning I was really excited to explore several places in Switzerland. For today's journey by bus and train. I'm going to Top of Europe from Grindelwald terminal. Grindelwald is the gateway to Jungfraujoch which is known as the "Top of Europe".
Along the way to Grindelwald, I saw extraordinary views.

Grindelwald is a village located in Switzerland which is surrounded by majestic mountains and beautiful blue seas in some parts of the village. One of the most famous mountain peaks here is Mount Eiger.

Because its beauty is in the spotlight of residents of other countries, many say that the village is similar to villages in fairy tales. The people's houses in this village are very beautiful with views of the cloudy back mountains.

The village is surrounded by the ice-covered Alps. Hence this village is a beautiful place to see the glacier. Even though it is called a glacier village, Grindelwald is known as a beautiful village all year round. In spring, for example, residents of Grindelwald village can enjoy views of the village with green grass, as well as seeing icebergs.

Grindelwald is also the gateway for those who want to experience the feel of eternal snow at Jungfrau. For information, Jungfrau (which in German means "maiden/virgin"), is one of the peaks of the Bernese Alps. No less interesting, from Grindelwald Village, visitors can also access Jungfraujoch, which is the highest train station in Europe. Views from Jungfraujoch is of course also very amazing. Likewise the views along the way to this unique location.

It contains a lot of interesting history, especially in the 19th century when many tourists from England came there to climb the Alpine peaks in the surrounding valley. The tourism industry then continued to grow, especially as several resorts and hotels emerged, until now there are many facilities such as cable cars, ski lifts, hiking trails and interesting winter attractions such as ice skating, sledding and skiing.

The interesting point of this village is that all public facilities are complete, from modern to traditional, available here. You just have to choose or try them all. It must be admitted that this experience will certainly be very enjoyable. Visitors can use the cable car station, from the point called "First", to reach the climbing area. This cable car can also take tourists to explore further to the "Cliff Walk by Tissot", which is known to be very spectacular. Here we can walk along the path built along the mountain cliff walls that are directly adjacent to deep ravines.

How to get there:
There are two stations in Grindelwald – Grindelwald and Grund. The former is in the middle of the village and the other is on the way to Kleine Scheidegg. Most of the Wengernalpbahn trains which are painted yellow and green stop at both stations. The BOB trains which are in blue and yellow will stop only at Grindelwald Station. Although it’s possible to walk between these two stations as they are just 1km apart, there’s quite a bit of vertical elevation to consider.
