After walking around The Dam Square, my friend took me to one of the places to eat near the Dam Square area, called The Pancake Bakery. There's nothing wrong with trying pancakes and poffertjes straight from the country, right? hihih~

I was a little amazed by the appearance of the restaurant. The door is small and we have to lower our heads if we want to enter it. The Pancake Bakery is a restaurant founded in the 70s that mainly sells pancakes. As one of the oldest Dutch brands, we also had to line up when we arrived in the afternoon.
The vibe is very romantic, surrounded by dim lights and small candles on every table. There aren't too many tables, maybe only around 20 tables.

Each table has several syrups and condiments for guests to use. The large plate in the middle is very rich in sugar syrup, so definitely pancakes must be topped with sugar syrup! There are many types of pancakes here, and the sweet and salty ones have their own flavors, so it took us a long time to decide which flavor to choose!

In my imagination, pancakes taste sweet, topped with ice cream and chocolate or syrup topping. Apparently, real pancakes taste salty and wide. I've never ordered salty pancakes before. but in the end I ordered it too hehehe.
We also ordered Poffertjes. They are small, fluffy Dutch batter cakes that are similar to pancakes. They are made with buckwheat flour and yeast, and are often served warm with powdered sugar and butter. Poffertjes can also be eaten with syrup or advocaat, or in a savory version with gouda cheese. They are a popular street food in the Netherlands and are often enjoyed at parties and other festive occasions.

Yup, my stomach is full, it's time to get up and strolling around. Ciao!
