Istana Nurul Iman is the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah. Located in the capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan, it is one of the largest palaces in the world, covering an area of about 200,000 square meters. The palace features stunning Islamic architecture, beautiful gardens, and numerous rooms, including state rooms and private quarters. It serves not only as a royal residence but also as a venue for official state functions and events. The palace is an iconic symbol of Brunei's monarchy and culture.

The official residence of Brunei's 29th sultan's family, the palace covers 200,000 m² and has 1,788 rooms. Quoting the official Guinness World Records page, Istana Nurul Iman also has 257 bathrooms and a banquet hall for 5,000 guests. Furthermore, there is a garage with a capacity of 110 cars, an air-conditioned stable with a capacity of 200 horses, and five swimming pools. The mosque within its area can accommodate up to 1,500 people. Furthermore, the palace also has a helipad and more than 250 bathrooms.

The distance is only a few kilometers from the capital city of Brunei Darussalam, Bandar Seri Begawan. The building is a large white building with a golden dome and towers decorating it. Apart from that, every year on Eid al-Fitr, Nurul Iman Palace opens its doors to the public for three days. People who visit can enter for free and look around several areas intended for the public. Some of them are rooms for receiving state guests, several meeting rooms, and a painting gallery.
