Taman Bunga Nusantara
Address: Jalan Mariwati KM.7,

Honestly, I am very lazy if I must go to Puncak.
Because Puncak is sooooo crowdeeeddd... :(
But today, my husband said how if we back to Bandung by Puncak?
Haha, and I spontaneously said, "OK", just because he drove the car, not me..ahhaa
After 1.5 hour drove from jakarta, we took a rest for a while.
We lunch at RM. Bumi Aki. The view was so beautiful, the fogs are down at that time.

After our stomach is full, we continued our journey to Taman Bunga Nusantara.
There is a flower garden named Taman Bunga Nusantara (the flower garden of Indonesia) in a place named ‘Cipanas’, and you will be surprised to find that this place doesn’t only offer relaxation, it also stores some wonders you won’t find in most gardens of Indonesia.

There are thousands types of flowers in this 35-hectare (86 acre) flower garden. Most are tropical flowers you can find in the country, but here surprisingly, you can see flowers that can be found in a subtropical, or colder country, where they normally can’t grow in the tropics. How do these flowers survive? Surely they have the technology for that. These plants are grown in a transparent 2000-square-meter (21,528 sq ft) room called a greenhouse where the temperature, light, and humidity are regulated in such a way that they resemble the climate where the plants are originated. There are many kinds of flowers here, and among the flowers are the tulips. These popular and brightly colorful European flowers still look like buds even after blossoming.

There are several gardens in the area, and each garden is different. Many are the representations of gardens from a certain country, and you’ll notice plants are trimmed according to the particular theme of that garden. Among several gardens, the French garden is the one you must visit. Although it doesn’t look like the ‘Garden of Versailles’ in France, it does however adopt the concept of a French garden where the plants are trimmed in regular patterns (e.g. circular, hexagonal, four sided etc.). You’ll almost feel, indeed, as if you’ve gone to Paris!

Another type of garden you shouldn’t miss is the Japanese garden. What makes a garden a Japanese garden? There must be some characteristics or philosophy behind it. Are you familiar with the Zen concept of harmony? This is the philosophy that every Japanese garden has. Stones, a goldfish pond with small man-made waterfalls, and a bamboo house are some of the elements in this type of garden, believed to create harmony resulting in relaxation for the people inside. Go here to experience this deep relaxation!

Well-kept and a feast for the eyes, you can lay your mat on the grass and your picnic basket. It is a delight to explore the gardens on foot but if you are feeling too lazy to walk, you can always go on the tram and be whisked from one part of the garden to another. if you are ever in Puncak, do take some time to check the garden. The cheap entrance fee makes it more than worth going to. Entrance fee: 30,000 IDR (less than USD $3)
