Taichung is densely populated and is the second most populous city in Taiwan after Taipei. Taichung was developed into a beautiful city during the Japanese occupation.

Constructed in 2014, the striking National Taichung Theatre has become one of Taichung's most important cultural and artistic landmarks. Japanese architect Toyo Ito used caves as his inspiration when designing the iconic curved walls of this ambitious structure. The building has obtained multiple patents and is a highly praised global and modern architectural landmark.

Now we will take a walk to Chun Shui Tang. This place is where bubble milk tea was first made. Here we will be taught how to make delicious bubble tea. Everyone seems to know Bubble Tea. This refreshing drink comes from tea mixed with black jelly which is then mixed by blending.

There are many speculations about who invented this world-famous drink. However, among the speculation there is one tea shop and its owner who is generally considered and accepted as the inventor of this delicious drink.

If you happen to travel to Taiwan, tourists can find a drink shop called Chun Shui Tang Tea House in the Taichung area, Taiwan. Liu Han-Chieh, who is the founder of Chun Shui, is known as the woman who invented bubble tea. 

Even after 25 years, bubble tea now accounts for 80-90 percent of revenue at Hui tea outlets and has become Taiwan's proud drink. Now, bubble tea shops can be found on street corners in Taiwan and a number of other countries.

From TRA Taichung Station, you can reach Chun Shui Tang on foot in approximately 20 minutes. Should you decide to take a taxi, the travel time is about 5 minutes, depending on the traffic conditions.
